This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use SellMyiPad.com, why, who we share it with and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

We do not collect or keep personal data stored on the devices you send us. We erase every device (Terms of Sale, section 12).

4. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only with providers who help us run the service, under contract:

We may also share data with the police or other authorities where the law requires.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Some providers (for example Google, PayPal and Twilio) may process data in the USA or other countries. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK-approved safeguards, such as the UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

6. How long we keep it

  • Order and payment records: 6 years after your sale, as required for tax and accounting.
  • Account details: until you ask us to close your account.
  • Enquiries with no order: 12 months.
  • Marketing: until you unsubscribe.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy to move elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@sellmyipad.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.

8. Security

We use secure connections (HTTPS), restricted access to customer data and certified data erasure for every device we receive.

9. Children

Our service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
